Made with the involvement of Pascal Molières, Philippe Ruas, Patrice Ruas, Jean-Louis Portalez, Christian Ducros, Elsa Molières and Élie Sagot.
Produced with the support of Oudeis: a research and production residency and the Ressourcerie du Pont.
Armed individuals dressed in paramilitary gear are lying in wait in the Cévennes landscape, ready for a confrontation…
« Video made as an extension of the Clandestine Workshop project, a participatory underground workshop dedicated to converting hunting cartridges into festive cartridges (materials used: pigments, sand, salt, confetti, glitter, streamers, feathers, petals, coloured semolina, party favours, beads, etc.).
Blast refers to the art of [re]loading cartridges, which relies heavily on ballistics, and raises concerns that are at once aesthetic, formal and safety-related. Artist Annlor Codina offers us a poetic, detached approach, set in friction with the usual aesthetics of combat. »
